New Federal Hot Water Heater Efficiency Regulations

- 11:08 am - October 12th, 2014

New residential water heater energy efficiency standards are taking place on April 15, 2015. These new energy standards will increase the Energy Factor (EF) new water heaters, meaning the newer heaters will lose less heat while in standby, reducing the amount of energy used to reheat the water. The new standards affect gas-fired, oil-fired, and electric water heater and are as follows:

These regulations do not mean that homeowners need to upgrade their systems, but at Tracey Energy we are staying ahead of the curve and preparing for these new requirements. We are happy to help any and all Bucks County homeowners determine if it’s time to upgrade to a new, high-efficiency water heater to lower their heating bills. Contact us today with any questions about the new energy conservation standards or to protect your current water heater with our hot water heater service plan.
